Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026. Vidforge is the controller of your personal data. Contact: nellywymes@hotmail.com.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address, a securely hashed password, and when you accepted the terms.
- Your content: product photos you upload, the product names and descriptions you enter, and the videos and ad copy generated.
- Payment records: which credit pack you bought and when. Card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored by us.
- Technical data: a one-way hash of your IP address, used to limit free-credit abuse, and short-lived logs needed to run and secure the service.
How and why we use it
- To provide the service you asked for, including generating videos and ad copy (contract).
- To take payment and keep accounting records (contract and legal obligation).
- To prevent fraud and abuse and to keep the service secure (legitimate interests).
We do not sell your data and do not use your photos or videos to advertise to you.
Who we share it with
- AI video provider (such as fal.ai): receives your product photo and prompt to generate the video.
- Anthropic: receives the product name, selling point and notes to write ad copy.
- Stripe: processes payments.
- Our hosting provider: stores the service's data.
Some of these providers are outside the UK and EU. Where that happens we rely on approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.
How long we keep it
Account data, photos and videos are kept until you delete your account. Payment records are kept for 6 years for tax and accounting. Hashed IP records for abuse prevention are deleted after 30 days.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, export or erase your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). You can delete your account and all your content yourself using the "Delete account" link in the app, or email us.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Template notice for the site owner: this is a sensible starting point, not legal advice. Update it if you add analytics, email or other providers, and register with the ICO if required.
